Triangulum is an epic tabletop strategy game set in the Triangulum Galaxy, where opposing factions battle for dominance across multiple interconnected scales. As the Greater Wave tore the Galaxy asunder, it wiped out entire star systems and reduced the Terran Empire to dust. Humanity’s great stellar civilization - painstakingly built over countless eons - was extinguished in a single day. Amidst this destruction, however, a tiny glimmer of hope still remained…

Two thousand years earlier, nine colossal research ships - collectively known as the Ennead - had each set a different course to the Triangulum Galaxy in the hope at least one would arrive intact. Forced to watch in horror as their ancestral home burned behind them, the survivors would press blindly into the void for another four millennia before the first of them set foot on Tria Firma…

The survivors discovered a galaxy far from empty: Ancient dynasties, complex power-struggles, and vast interstellar trade networks soon stirred into motion to contain and exploit the new arrivals. With no choice but to carve out a future in this hostile new frontier, the Terran Federation was born…

Devlog 19.02.25

General

Terrain given stats, meaning it can be attacked 

Unit Conditions list added to rulebook.

Rulebook reedited and reordered

Movement

Rules for jumping added 

Movement refined: Units now turn before they Move, not after.

Embarking rules refined. No Command Roll needed any more. 

Moving Between Arenas updated to adhere to new upcoming deployment zone rules 

Combat

Mechs/Vehicles roll Critical Hits on a 7-8. 

Starfighters roll Critical Hits on an 11-12 

Capital Ships roll Critical Hits on 18-19-20.

Damage clarified re. Defeating/destroying units.

Starfighter range reduced to 6" 

Starfighters are -1 to hit when attacked by Capital Ships. 

Shields now protect against all scales. 

Flame-weapons added

Upcoming developments finished:

Planetary Defences added to Planetary Generation. 

Scenario Generator added. 

Planetary Generator refined. Population now increases chance of planetary defences

Starfighter Crew updated - No free pilot any more 

Pilot Specialisation added

Example boxes added

Activation Sequence updated. All three units must move before anybody shoots.

Losing Control refined

Devlog 11.02.25 

Close Assault overhauled:

Both sides now attack simultaneously and the winner applies damage.

Pushing/Capturing/Overpowering units (Meatshields) rules added.

Screening added - Space-based units can elect to block LoS to friendly units, drawing fire. Ground-based units can now use enemy units as meatshields.

Melee/Marksman Specialisations added.

Capital Ships Refined:

Capital Ships can now move over other units without risking engagement, as long as they do not finish their move on top of them.

Critical Hits now occur a 19-20 for Capital Ship Scale.

Crashing Rules updated to include speed and crew.

Faction special rules expanded.
